According to the report, global tablet sales reached 38.4 million units in the first quarter of 2022. However, it suffered an annual decline of 3.9 percent due to the decrease in demand.
The leader of the tablet industry was Apple. The market share of the company, which sold 12.1 million iPads in the first quarter of 2022, decreased by 4.6 percent to 31.5 percent. Unlike Apple, the second-ranked Samsung experienced a 3.5 percent increase and increased its market share to 21.1 percent. The number of tablets sold by the company in this process is 8.1 million. It should be noted that there is a 10.4 percent difference between the market shares of the two companies and that Apple has an advantage over its rival.
Amazon is the third largest company in the tablet market. The company, which experienced a growth of 6.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, sold 3.7 million tablets in total and increased its market share to 9.6 percent.
